132 Creative Writing (Grear)
(CreativeWriting)
Students will refine their creative writing skills and abilities beyond those developed in the required English courses. This course encourages students to see creative writing as a unique way of thinking and constructing meaning. Through reading many examples of great literature and learning varied styles and genres (poetry, fictive prose, non-fictive prose, and drama), students will learn to model a variety of techniques. Peer assessment and threaded/chat room discussions are a major component of the course, as is the ability to accept constructive criticism.
